Still Valuable
Even reproduction antique furniture is valuable. It
will not be as valuable as an original piece, but the quality is just as good.
Some reproduction pieces will sell for more than an antique original can be
found for, but this is due to a rise in the cost of materials and labour to
recreate these pieces.
When reproduction pieces are kept in a family, after
several generations enjoy the pieces, originals may no longer exist. A properly
built reproduction piece mattresses can quickly rise in value as the demand for that piece
rises.
